Abhaile

abhaile

[awll·ya'] · Irish

Irish word meaning 'home'. A gathering place for the people you love the most. A place where you open your heart and relax your mind. A place of feeling of belonging.

This hangs on our wall at 178 Ave.
At The Emerald: the framed abhaile dictionary print on the sage dining-room wall

We believe the best moments in life happen around the table. The Emerald blends Irish warmth with Canadian hospitality, and it's a place for when you're missing home, or when you simply fancy some really good food.

We import the meats for our Full Irish Breakfast and use Irish butter, Irish meats and Irish mushy peas, so you get a real taste of home. Next to them on the menu you'll find the Canadian classics: peameal bacon, maple beans, the Club House.
